Indications And Uses:

Reduction of atherosclerotic events (myocardial infraction, stroke, and vascular death) in patients with artherosclerosis documented by recent stroke, myocardial infarction, or established peripheral arterial disease; prevention of thrombosis following intracoronary stent placement*


Contraindications:

Active pathological bleeding; coagulation disorders; patients receiving anticoagulants or other antiplatelet agents

Precautions:
Previous hypersensitivity or other untoward effects related to ticlopidine; hypertension; hepatic or renal impairment; history of bleeding or hemostatic disorders; history of drug related hematologic disorders; patients scheduled for major surgery; pregnancy

Pregnancy And Lactation:

Pregnancy category B; excreted into breast milk in rats
